The VAEA’s work will enhance the safety of the Victorian community by planning for the eradication of asbestos from government buildings to reduce the risk of asbestos-related diseases.
Scope
Our work focuses on buildings owned by the Victorian Government, including offices, hospitals, train stations, community centres, prisons and TAFEs.
Asbestos
Asbestos was banned because it causes fatal and debilitating diseases. The only way to prevent risk of exposure is to remove asbestos-containing materials (ACMs) from the built environment
